The customer care executive, first of all, asks some security-related questions to the customer regarding his/her card and then block the card immediately. Block Bank of Baroda (BOB) ATM Debit Card By Visiting the Branch

The customer can visit the Bank of Baroda branch where he/she is maintaining the account. The customer simply needs to inform the concerned officials about the loss of the card. The card would be blocked instantly.

In the event of losing the BOB ATM/Debit card, the customer can use any of the two above mentioned methods to get the card blocked to prevent illegal transactions. However, it is recommended that the customers first contact the customer care to get their card unblocked. If customer care fails to resolve the issue, then it becomes imperative to visit the home branch.

What to do if the Card is Blocked Accidentally?

The ATM/Debit card can get blocked due to entering of wrong password or any other problem. The BOB card gets unblocked automatically after 24 hours. Thus, the customer does not have to do anything to get it unlocked. However, if the card fails to get activated after 24 hours, the customer can call the toll free numbers that have been mentioned before in the article.

Follow the steps as instructed by the customer care executive to get the card unblocked. An email can also be sent to the home branch to know why the card has not been unblocked and the steps to redeem it. The customer can also opt to visit the home branch with an application to unblock the card. The same would be done immediately.
