The charges for non maintenance of minimum balance

In case of physically handicapped persons, women, visually impaired, mentally retarded persons, senior citizens, students, pensioners, no frills and BSB accounts the bank permits maintenance of account with zero balance. So no penalties are imposed in these cases even if the account balance is zero. In case of other types of saving bank accounts the charges are calculated as per the exact balance remaining in the account.
