The Nainital Bank was founded in the year 1922 which is subsidiary of Bank of Baroda. The bank has total 135 branches which are located in Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. This bank is listed as the scheduled bank by the Reserve Bank of India. This bank has been trying to introduce new loan schemes and facilities to the customers.

One of the best facilities provided by the bank is SMS service for checking the balance and various other things related to the bank account. One can check the account balance with the help of SMS alerts and SMS request facility.

SMS request facility

One can check the remaining balance in his/her account by sending SMS with aspecific keyword to a particular number. You can check the balance in your account by sending NTBL<space>BAL<space><last 13 digits of the account number> to the number 56363.

For checking the last five transactions, you will need to send NTBL<space>TRN<Space><last 13 digits of the account number> to the number 56363.

If you want to check the balance inquiry of the Loan account, then you can send NTBL<space>LNB<space><account number> to the number 56363.

After you will send any SMS among the above messages, you will be able to get the SMS from the bank within a few seconds. The SMS service is fast and is available for 24×7 hours. One can’t go to the bank at night to check the balance in any of his accounts. A person can definitely send the SMS for getting any kind of balance inquiry.

SMS alerts

Not only the request SMS service but the bank also provides the SMS alerts service. You will just need to register the mobile number with the bank account and you will be able to receive the message from the bank while any transaction is made through your account. You will get the SMS alerts for your saving bank if you have taken 2000 or more rupees from your bank account. For your Credit Cash and overdraft account, you need to have taken 5000 or more rupees for getting SMS alerts. You will also receive SMS for ATM cash withdrawals every time you use the ATM.

The missed call facility has not been introduced yet but the bank authorities are working on it. Till then, you can use the SMS service for checking the balance in the bank account.
