We often come across some questions regarding the Banking Transactions. However, one of the most unanswered questions has been the ATM Branch from where the money was withdrawn. After the withdrawal, one might need to know the branch of the ATM, that may look tedious but in reality, there are multiple ways by which you can actually figure out the branch of the ATM from where the money was withdrawn.

ATM ID:

This is, of course, the most common way to get the ATM branch. However, you need to take the slip of the ATM transaction in this case. If you scan through the ATM transaction slip, you would come across the ATM No at the right top of the slip. This is the ATM ID provided by the bank. If you want the exact branch, then just dial the customer care number of your bank, and let them know the ATM ID, they will tell you the name of the branch. You can also find the branch of the ATM through the online portal of the banks through the ATM ID. However, this may not be available for all banks.

Customer Care:

This is the easiest of all and most preferred. If you do not have the transaction slip and don’t have any idea whatsoever from where the money was withdrawn, then you can simply contact customer care. You need to tell them the date of the transaction that you will have in your statement or in the SMS. They would ask you the security questions to establish your identity and then help you locate the branch of the ATM.

Internet Banking:

Internet banking has become very useful now and many of the problems get resolved nowadays with the internet interactive banking. All the summary of the transactions is generally available on the Internet or Mobile Banking. Many of the banks are now mentioning the ATM Branch name or the ATM ID from where the money was withdrawn for the transaction reference. This has made the process even simpler. However, not all the banks have implemented the same unfortunately till date.

SMS Service:

Few of the banks have off late started sending the ATM branch name from where the money was withdrawn immediately after the transaction. This is the best scenario for the customers who are willing to know the branch of the ATM from where the money was withdrawn. However, the services have not been implemented by all banks and this is at the nascent stage. In fact, sometimes it comes only when you draw money from different bank ATMs.

Branch Visit:

If you do not have internet access, then there is nothing to fear about. You can walk up to the nearest branch of your bank. You can simply tell them the detail of the transaction and help them establish your identity. The bank executive would provide you the ATM branch from where the money was withdrawn.

The location of the ATM branch from where the money was withdrawn has become a subject of security. It is therefore very important to keep a track of the branches and these processes will help you to get the desired result.
